Club and Group Ice Show

The combined Club and Group ice show is presented in May as the culmination of the year's activities. Club members have an opportunity to exhibit their freestyle programs in a friendly atmosphere for their friends and family.

Club members and skaters enrolled in the Basic Skills group lesson program skate in the show comprised of group numbers choreographed for different age and ability levels. Practices are held weekly approximately six weeks before the show. This is a fun way for beginners and intermediate skaters to participate in an ice show.

This award, donated by Club member, Victor Cassella, is given in memory of
his wife and Club member, Barbara Cassella, mother of Francis X. Cassella and
Club member Claudyne Cassella Hutchinson.

CRITERIA FOR AWARD

The Barbara J. Cassella Memorial Award is given annually to a serious and
seasoned skater in recognition of accomplishments in the different disciplines
of the sport.

Several factors will be considered in selecting the recipient. These include
good sportsmanship, a fine attitude, service to the club, participation in club
activities and events, assisting others in the club to attain improvement, level of
achievement, and accumulated points based on the point scale for USFSA tests
passed and qualifying competitions entered in the current year from May 1st to
April 30th.

In order to be considered for the award, the skater must be registered as a
Home Club member in good standing for a full season.

A skater may only win the award once.

The winner will receive a memorial trophy or plaque. In addition, an award will be
given to the runner-up. The winner's name will be inscribed on a permanent plaque
which will be displayed at Stamford Twin Rinks.

The Selection Committee shall be composed of Cassella family members and
a Club Representative.
